1. Is PVView® PLUS a secure environment for my inverter data?
Yes, PVView® PLUS offers a secured environment for all its customers. The SatCon PowerGateTM inverter information is stored on a secured SQL database server and is password protected. That means each customer is provided with a user name and password to have access ONLY to his inverter information.
2. Can PVView® PLUS monitor the whole PV system performance?
Yes, The System Summary page provides detailed information of the total energy produced by the whole PV system in form of bar graphs; the data is presented using different time frames: current day, week and month.
The Inverter page gives a detailed presentation of each PowerGateTM inverter in terms of photovoltaic array (DC Input parameters), inverter status and renewable energy produced (AC Output parameters).
3. Can PVView® PLUS alert me in case of an inverter fault event?
Yes, PVView® PLUS offers an inverter fault email notification service that alerts the customer and SatCon Service department of any active fault in form of an email.
4. Do I have access to the solar array strings using PVView® PLUS?
The basic PVView® PLUS package monitors only the SatCon PowerGateTM inverters connected to the PVView Communication Controller. In order to monitor the solar array string performance the customer has to buy PV Zone (combiner) and also choose PV Zone Monitoring, which is an additional option to the basic package.
5. Does PVView® PLUS generate reports that I can use to monitor my PV system performance?
Using the PVView® PLUS Export feature the customer can generate Excel reports based on a desired interval selection.
6. How can I have access to the PV system faults and alarms?
From Inverter page the customer can choose the Inverter Parameter tab which brings him to the Fault History information. Here the customer can view a detailed description of each fault, the time the fault was set and the time it was cleared.
